Overview of Idea

The Tool Library is a free tool lending program designed to empower homeowners through home repair. The library provides homeowners with the resources that they need to make repairs and modifications to their homes, allowing them to maintain a feeling of independence and dignity.

The Specifics: What will the $2,500 fund?

Funding from the challenge will be used to establish a Tool Library in Bloomington, IL. We have already secured funding for the rent and utilities of a facility here in Bloomington, so the only thing left to do before we open for service is build our tool inventory. Specifically speaking, $2000 of the funding will be used to purchase tools for the library inventory, while the remaining $500 will be used to purchase an inventory tracking system.
