Overview of Idea

Our idea for social change is to put a series of itinerant kite-dispensers in different communities around the world. When you get lost in the simplicity and beauty of a great kite flight, all your troubles melt away. When one person experiences this inner change, they want to share it with others.

The Specifics: What will the $2,500 fund?

The money from the GOOD Grant will go toward art materials for building “The Kite Machine – Chicago Edition”, a sequel to the New York Kite Machine. Also, building materials for kite production, increasing access to arts programming, necessary permits, and general traveling expenses: gas, rentals, permits, etc.
